Young writes: ”Gates predicted a single security standard eventually will emerge, although ‘it won’t upset the progress of the Internet if you have to have two standards.’ Microsoft is working with MasterCard International and Visa International Inc. to develop security standards, Gates said, but there are still limitations on the technologies and what is expected.”
