Name: j. gillan
From: Colorado
Bio: psychotherapist, purveyor of social change
Area of Expertise: Research Scientist/Illuminator
Topic: Community/Culture
Headline: More breadth, less depth
Nutshell: People will have more communication with a wider variety of people, but this communication will lack embodiment, and therefore will lose the depth available through the wisdom of our physical selves.
Vision:The internet can be a great advancement in developing relationship and communication across culture, with an ever-increasing variety and number of others. But due to it’s physical limitations, the internet cannot bring two or more bodies together, which is it’s most fundemental flaw. We are already losing touch with the wisdom of our felt sense, especially in relationship and in community.
