Nutshell: People in the not-to-distant future will have the option to have neural implants that will allow them to access the net.
Vision:In the not too distant future, the option will exist to have sections of our brain material that is "extra" used as computer/wireless modems that will enable us to access the network. Recent work with mice neurons showed that neurons can be trained to operate software. A "switching device" could be used to bring "visible" net data to the vision part of the brain so that a screen of some sort could be seen.
