Vision:Space is next, with the completion of the X-Prize (www.xprize.com), millionaires going to space for a week-long trip, and today’s techonology.
Many people are pushing to go to the next step. The first accomplishment will be a lunar base. After we have established a private presence there (no government involvement), we will begin developing ways to create resources and extend our presence.
The last 20 years has been an amazing growth in the computer industry, from vacuum tubes to chips which have billions of transistors on them… The private sector has taken a similar interest in space, and we should see the same results come from it.
