Nutshell: The future looks bleak unless control can be wrestled away from abusers.
Vision:Unless world governments boost law-enforcement efforts and stiffen penalties, abusers of the internet (spam, pop-ups, worms, viruses, porn, etc.) will drive more and more people away from its use.
Software manufacturers must also make their products "airtight" and forego some openess/features in order to protect the average user from the abusers. This includes additional security measures to protect privacy and personal information.
