Name: Seth

From: Minnesota

Bio: Copywriter for online retailer; run own website

Area of Expertise: Author/Editor/Journalist

Topic: Communication

Headline: The Death of TV News

Nutshell: As network and cable news becomes more politically motivated and Internet availability spreads, people will turn in record numbers to a vast sea of news resources not tied to specific political leanings or corporate motivations.

Vision:

Over the past year we have seen our news programs and 24 news netowroks go from providing legitimate information to focusing on delivering a political or corporate themed message – slanting the news and events reported toward thier own affiliation.

People will grow tired of this and begin seeking more opinions and more concrete stories form the myriad sources on the Internet. Networks and cable news channels will lose influence as people fragment towards sites that provide them with the type of news they are the most interested in.
