Name: Dan Champagne

From: Minnesota

Bio: 20 years pc tech

Area of Expertise: Technology Developer/Administrator

Topic: General, Overarching Remarks

Headline: It Will Have to Rise from the Ashes

Nutshell: Too many viruses and ads.

Vision:

While it will still grow for a while, the internet will die back. Like a garden, it will need to be pruned in order to grow. Advertisements will over-run the fun of surfing to the point of people will only use it when they have to. Enough personnal information will be stolen that people will start to shy away from online transactions.

After that lull, and once operating systems, firewalls, antivirus, etc. programs become much stronger, people will start going back to the internet.
