Name: L. B. WINDLEY DVM, EdD

From: Tennessee

Bio: Doctoral research in Technology-Based Higher Education and vice-chairmanship of the Higher Ed. Com.

Area of Expertise: Technology Developer/Administrator

Topic: Information Infrastructure

Headline: Connectivity will explode

Nutshell: The connectivity of individuals and their households will change radically. We will leave the wired world quickly and be connected at every location on the planet.

Vision:

As technology enriches our lives we are like fish attracted to bait. We have become hooked on connectivity and access. Access will quickly become wireless and perhaps satellite-based. The old dial-up, wired line will be as passe as the transistor radio.
As connectivity increases so will the uses of the on-line interaction, business, and educational opportunities. Our society will shift away from marginal use to a major use of computers for work, learning, business, and social interaction.

We are still driving the "Model T" and the Corvette is on the assembly line soon to be released.
