Name: Maggie

From: Pennsylvania

Bio: Picking apart legislation for possible scenerios is a hobby I enjoy.

Area of Expertise: Research Scientist/Illuminator

Topic: Community/Culture

Headline: Education is Completely Redefined

Nutshell: Learning centers will redefine the foundation of elementary education standards.

Vision:

Students of all ages will be housed in large institutions – mini communities where they will be trained and studied. Education extends to two years post-secondary, with the focus on science. Basic concepts in math and reading are obsolete, replaced with scientific lessons in mastering new innovations.

By 2020 nearly half of the children born will suffer some kind of mental disability. They will be studied and make up much of the workforce. Computers allow dynamic teaching methods, modeling many different environments and events. History is rewritten and taught from the 20th century to the present. Textbooks are no longer used and available research sources are heavily censored, as are all documents and publications.

Everything is taught and all activities are done over heavily monitored networks. Every keystroke is logged, thus eliminating privacy. Students will interact more with machines than other humans. Creativity and art take 3-dimensional forms. The classics from the arts are forgotten maybe even forbidden
