Predictor: Celente, Gerald

Prediction, in context:

In a 1993 article in Business Credit, the publication of the National Association of Credit Management, writer Eric Anderson interviewed futurist Gerald Celente. Anderson writes: ”Business Credit asked Gerald Celente, author of ‘Trend Tracking – the System to Profit from Today’s Trends,’ director of the Trends Research Institute, and editor and publisher of the Trends Journal, to share his views on what the future has in store for technological progress in America … ”BC: What businesses or industries do you feel will be the most successful as we enter the year 2000?” ”Celente: The most successful businesses are going to be in technology led by communications. We just saw, for instance, dramatic growth in personal computer sales in the last quarter. This took place while auto sales, the housing industry, and heavy equipment sales declined. The country is currently breaking into a brand new realm of communications and, at the Trends Research Institute, we are predicting a major ‘techno boost’ in the next three to five years.”
