Name: Tracy
From: Arizona
Bio: Journalism/News Technology student
Area of Expertise: Author/Editor/Journalist
Topic: Global Relationships/Politics
Headline: Internet Access For All… and a Conscience?
Nutshell: As technology advances and becomes cheaper, the richer countries will discard the older versions, allowing poorer countries to become connected to the internet, broadening the social scope.
Vision:With technology becoming cheaper every day, poorer countries (such as some in Africa) will be able to pick up the more basic, if outdated, equipment. As this occurs, more people will become aware of the atrocities that are taking place in many Third World countries and the socio-economic gap will lessen as the U.N. and other First World powers cannot ignore the problems anymore.
