Name: Cecil
From: Florida
Bio: Electronics Tech, X Navy, 20 years repairman
Area of Expertise: Technology Developer/Administrator
Topic: Technology
Headline: Living Machines
Nutshell: Electronics, machines and people continously interlinked through technology.
Vision:Our world is becoming more interactive. Each of our cars will know each of its drivers, and maybe all passengers. Our homes will recognize us and our habits. Our machines will be known to other machines.
We will become expectant of the world around us to cater to us individually.
Kids don’t climb trees and chase bugs much any more. Soon they will even shy away from the grass the ground the rain and sun.
Eventually we will become so connected that a standard phone or even a remote control is too much effort to operate. A mere movement will be recognized and the lights may react or the coffee pot might turn on.
Good? Bad? It does not really matter. It is our future. Maybe the old predictions of us with giant heads and tiny withered bodies is not so far-fetched.
