Vision:Wireless communication is the obvious next step for the masses. The technology is there just not in as wide and common practice as it will soon be.
PDA’s, cell phones and tablet PC’s are the precusors to "data pads" that will be small and light enough to carry but powerful enough to combine everything into one device.
In addition, words will be replaced by pictures. "A picture is worth a thousand words" will become a driving force in displaying large amounts of information in a small space.
Maybe the ancient Egyptians had were on to something with hieroglyphics.
