Name: Wamzer

Bio: Internet user + having a job connected to IT law

Area of Expertise: Advocate/Voice of the People

Topic: General, Overarching Remarks

Headline: Nothing special will happen

Nutshell: New and amazing words - internet, e-commerce, broadband, interactivity, etc. - occur, but some years later it'll be only one communication channel among the others.

Vision:

Wow. Internet is cool. It’s a wonder; a lot of information, a lot of opportunities, and these things are developing every day. But it was the same with telephone, radio and tv. There’ll be always new technologies, new communication channels, which can handle more information, much faster, etc. Maybe internet will change our life, but not more, than those above. But maybe in 2010 there will be a brand new communications channel which has more more more advantages, and internet is forgotten.

People will learn to live with the advantages and disadvantages with the online communications. Internet will be only a "tool" to ease the life in special situations – for example order plane ticket online, or checking what’s playing in cinema today, or send an e-mail attached your work from home instead of being at your workplace – but it won’t mean a bigger change than the telephone was in the past.
