Name: Jarrod Parker
From: New York
Bio: Network Security & System Administration Professional
Area of Expertise: Technology Developer/Administrator
Topic: Information Infrastructure
Headline: Remote Home Administration and Monitoring
Nutshell: Users will be able to monitor basically infinite items remotely.
Vision:With the widespread integration of IPv6 and high-speed, wireless, in-home private subnetworks, people will be able to log into their "House Area Network" where devices in-home each have private IP addresses. These addresses will be mapped to RFID tags in a central location to minimize initial configuration. This way, if you want to monitor an object, simply place the RFID tag on it and it authenticates with the central home server. There will be special home monitoring devices for individual’s needs like temp. monitoring, in-air chemical monitoring, etc.
