Name: Matthew
From: Texas
Bio: Clinical genius, internet user, scifi enthusiast, futurist
Area of Expertise: Futurist/Consultant
Topic: Technology
Headline: Seamless integration
Nutshell: What we know as the internet today will never cease to exist, but become blended so heavily with other forms of meadia and information that it will be unrecognizable in its interface and application.
Vision:Eventually, all forms of communication and information technologies will be so closely related and combined in terms of interface and application that there will still be separate phones, televisions, and computers but they will provide one service. An obvious example may seem to be home PCs such as the "Windows Media Center," but really a example would be services provided by cable companies such as Time Warner Cable, that provide high-speed internet, cable TV, and digital phone service, all under one umbrella.
Eventually, all of these services will combine so that they are no longer three separate sytems, but one integrated network that will rise to a complexity beyond anyone’s comprehension.
