The Internet will become a part of the infrastructure, no more thought of than roads. As a single connective organism, it will become central to almost all daily activities, and ways of linking our possesions become more prevalent, and ways of connecting with others becomes more prevalent.
The Internet will simply amplify the existing directions in life, whether towards freedom and democracy or militancy or totalitarianism; witness China’s control of it.
