Topic: Community/Culture
Headline: The past is our future
Nutshell: When the internet is everywhere, it can be LESS intrusive.
Vision:When the internet becomes as pervasive as the air we breathe, cell phones, terminals, kiosks, etc will become obsolete. We should be able to call up the information we want, like an collective consciousness, seemlessly. We shouldn’t each need our own PC, cell phone, PDA, etc. Information access points will be everywhere, allowing us secure access to our personal data, financial transactions, etc. When technology is this seamless, it can disappear into the background, and we can get back to relating to other humans instead of tapping at keys on the devices we now use to reach out to the net.
