Job listings and opportunities

Throughout the year, the Office of Career & Student Development maintains extensive listings of current job openings within the legal profession, including full- and part-time positions for students and graduates, fellowship opportunities, internships, on-campus student research assistants, and other work-study positions.

In conjunction with Pathways, a resume posting and job listing service, these openings are online and accessible via the Internet. With Pathways, students and alumni may post their resume online and view job openings, and employers may submit job openings directly online from their computer.

The office maintains an extensive, up-to-date resource library in Pathways dedicated to providing students and graduates with comprehensive information about career development, job searching, and law practice.  Resources include:

  • Preparing a professional document portfolio for job applications (resumes, cover letters, writing samples, references)
  • Interviewing
  • Cultural competence
  • Professionalism/Professional communication
  • Job search tips, guidelines and databases
  • Networking and informational interviews
  • Practice areas
  • Law practice settings (law firms, government, public interest, corporate)
  • Judicial clerkships
  • Helpful information for first-generation law students/lawyers

Pathways for Students

Pathways is an online recruiting system that you can use to manage your career search. It is accessible 24/7. You will be able to view and apply for positions with employers who contact the Office of Career & Student Development with an interest in hiring Elon Law students.

The Pathways system allows you to create a profile, store documents, apply and search for jobs, and participate in on-campus interviews and resume collections.

Pathways becomes available for 1L students during August Term. We will offer a 1L Pathways Training Session and provide first-year students with a username and password in early August.
