Financial Planning Office
The Financial Planning Office is located on main campus and can be reached by calling (800) 334-8448 or (336) 278-7640. The fax number is (336) 278-7649. During the fall trimester, Lynette Lorenzetti, Associate Director for Financial Planning, will maintain office limited hours at the law school. She can be reached via e-mail at lorenzet@elon.edu.
Last day to pay tuition
Your tuition payment is due to the Bursar’s Office. The tuition balance due is any amount that is not covered by loans or a scholarship. Contact the Bursar’s Office with any questions.
Ways to pay your tuition bill
Payments may be made online at ebill.elon.edu. Elon University’s credit card processor accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express and charges a 2.75% usage fee for this option. Payments made online using a checking or savings account will not incur a usage fee. Payments may also be mailed to P.O. Box 398 Elon, NC 27244. Finally, for incoming students, payments may also be made in person to the Bursar at the law school on the first day of Orientation.
Loan refund checks
For incoming students who will have financial aid in excess of tuition, refund checks will be available to you during the Orientation week (see the Orientation schedule for more details about when the Financial Aid and/or Bursar’s Office will be available). In order to receive a refund check, all loan funds must first have been disbursed to Elon. In order to help expedite disbursement, please make sure you have:
- Accepted your Stafford Loan through OnTrack.
- Electronically signed your promissory note and completed the requisite loan counseling at studentloans.gov.
- You may register for direct deposit through OnTrack.
If you have any problems with the above process, please contact the Financial Planning Office. See the Financial Planning Office section above for information about contacting that office.
Online Entrance Counseling & Master Promissory Notes
Federal loans (Stafford and Grad PLUS) cannot be disbursed until the Online Entrance Counseling & Master Promissory Notes have been completed. These are federal requirements that must be completed prior to loan disbursal.
Financial aid process
In order to begin the process to qualify for student loans, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) when your previous year tax returns are complete. In order for Elon Law to receive your FAFSA results, you must include our school code 002927. Federal student loans are available up to the cost of attendance minus law school and outside scholarships or aid.
