National Lawyers Guild
Formed in 1937, the National Lawyers Guild was the United States’ first racially-integrated bar association to advocate for the protection of constitutional, human and civil rights. The purpose of the organization is to stand in support of individuals exercising their
First Amendment right to speech and assembly. Recently, as an organization with core values placed on the right to protest, the Guild has assisted in legal observing opportunities to support and uplift members of targeted communities in NC.
