Interlibrary Loan – Requesting a Book

  • STOP! Please check the Belk Library Catalog first to see if the book is in our library! This is fast and easy.
  • You do not need to find out which libraries own the book. We will do that for you.
  • Books from other libraries may take up to 10 days to arrive, since they are shipped in the mail.
  • Usually the loan period is 3 – 4 weeks, with the possibility of renewing it.

    Name of author or editor of the book (if more than one author, just include the first author listed)

  • Please Read Before Submitting Your Request

    • Books borrowed through interlibrary loan are provided through the courtesy of other library systems and are not the property of Elon University Library. Please return these items on time, and hand them to a library staff person.
    • If you need a renewal, contact the Interlibrary Loan and Reserves Specialist before the due date.
    • Be aware that most libraries will not lend audio/visual materials, reference books, periodicals, and genealogical records.
