ELON COLLEGE – Several of the South’s best professional racquetball players are expected to be among the more than 100 men and women who will compete Oct. 23-24 in the third annual Tournament of Champions at Elon College’s campus recreation center.
The top winners in the more than a half dozen divisions will receive cash prizes ranging from $50 to $300, said Brad Harmon, a tournament director. All proceeds will benefit the campus chapter of Habitat for Humanity.
The number of participants in the tournament, which is sanctioned by the United States Racquetball Association, has increased every year, Harmon said.
