ELON COLLEGE–Colman McCarthy, syndicated columnist and editorial page writer for The Washington Post, will speak at 7:30 p.m. March 30 in the Whitley Auditorium at Elon College. His presentation, which is titled “How to Be an Effective Peacemaker,” is free and open to the public.
McCarthy is also an adjunct professor at the Georgetown University Law Center and the founder of The Center for Teaching Peace. The on-profit center was set up for the benefit of peace studies programs in schools.
