Elon College international programs recognized

ELON COLLEGE, N.C. – The international education programs at Elon College have been recognized for excellence by the North Carolina Association of International Educators (NCAIE). William Rich, dean of international programs, accepted the award on behalf of the college at the group’s annual conference, held March 24 at Meredith College in Raleigh.

NCAIE is composed of international educators at colleges and universities in North Carolina. The award recognized Elon’s efforts to increase the number of students studying abroad and to recruit international students and faculty members.

Elon ranks first in the nation among master degree-granting institutions for the percentage of students studying abroad. Forty-six percent of graduates have spent time studying in a foreign country and more than half the faculty members have led students in international travel and study. Elon has affiliations with universities in seven nations.
