Elon faculty members will share their thoughts on “Western Misperceptions of Africa” during the third-annual Social Science Forum at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 11 in Yeager Recital Hall, located in the Faith Rockefeller Model Center for the Arts on the Elon campus.
Brian Digre and Steve Fortune, members of the history department, will join sociology department professors Jack Bernhardt and Tom Arcaro for a discussion about the similarities, and perceived differences, between Western and African cultures.
A reception is scheduled before the event at 7 p.m. in the Isabella Cannon Room, located in the Model Center.
The Social Science forum is co-sponsored by the College of Arts and Sciences and the Isabella Cannon Centre for International Studies.
