Jacob Hornberger, founder and president of the libertarian Future of Freedom Foundation, will speak at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 13 in McCrary Theatre, located on the Elon campus in the Faith Rockefeller Model Center for the Arts.
Author of “The Case for Free Trade and Open Immigration” and “The Failure of America’s Foreign Wars,” Hornberger presents his view that the war on drugs is an immoral and destructive assault on personal freedom. He cites the recent deaths of an American missionary and her baby in Peru as proof the war should be ended.
Hornberger’s appearance is sponsored by the Liberal Arts Forum and supported by a grant from the Intercollegiate Studies Institute.
