Rosa Lamoreaux, John Butt and Wolfgang Basch will perform in concert at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 19 in Whitley Auditorium on the campus of Elon University.
Lamoreaux frequently performs at concerts and festivals across the country. She has made appearances at Bach festivals, the Washington Bach Consort, Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center, and she has performed with the Atlanta and Cincinnati symphonies. Butt, who will play the organ for Tuesday’s concert, is the director of studies in music at King’s College, Cambridge. He has eight solo recordings for Harmonia Mundi, in addition to recordings with the Philharmonia Baroque orchestra. Basch has been the principal trumpeter of the “Museums Orchestra,” (Opera Orchestra), Frankfurt/Main since 1976. His trumpet concertos and chamber works are available on a variety of record labels, including RCA.
