The Elon University Department of Performing Arts will perform the classic play “You Can’t Take it With You,” Thursday-Sunday, April 18-21 in McCrary Theatre, located in the Faith Rockefeller Model Center for the Arts on campus.
Written by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman, this comedy features the Sycamores, a family full of eccentric characters. Each member has an oddity of their own, including manufacturing fireworks in the basement, raising snakes in the dining room, playing the xylophone and taking in every stray person who comes their way.
“You Can’t Take it With You” is a play appropriate for all ages. Performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Thursday-Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.
Tickets for the performance are $10, or free for those with valid Elon identification. Tickets may be purchased by calling the McCrary Theatre box office at (336) 278-5610. The box office is open from 12:30 p.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday.
