The Greensboro Symphony POPS will present a jazz program called “The Sounds of New Orleans” featuring the Preservation Hall Jazz Band at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, April 25 in McCrary Theatre on the campus of Elon University.
The Preservation Hall Jazz Band has been the leading proponent of New Orleans jazz for years. The jazz virtuosos will present an evening of classic songs dating to the end of Ragtime and the beginning of America’s greatest indigenous art form.
Tickets for the performance are $20, or free for those with valid Elon identification. Tickets may be purchased by calling the McCrary Theatre box office at (336) 278-5610. The box office is open from 12:30 p.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday.
