The Grammy award-winning Chestnut Brass Company will perform at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 1 at Elon University’s McCrary Theatre.
The Chestnut Brass Company is a Philadelphia-based brass quintet that has recorded eleven CDs, ranging from jazz to hymns and classics. They are the only ensemble in the world touring with modern and historical brass instruments.
The performance is part of the Lyceum Series, which brings outstanding performing artists to the university campus. The company will perform historical brass music, contemporary jazz and classical favorites.
Tickets for the performance are $12, or free for those with valid Elon identification. Tickets may be purchased by calling the McCrary Theatre box office at (336) 278-5610. The box office is open from 12:30 p.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday.
