Valerie Hartzell, who has been called one of America’s top female classical guitar performers, will perform 7:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 4 at Yeager Recital Hall located in the Faith Rockefeller Model Center for the Arts on the Elon University campus.
As a former student of Manuel Barrueco and winner of numerous competitions, Hartzell has performed and studied music both in the United States and internationally. She received her performance degree in May 1999, and is currently an adjunct faculty member at Montgomery College in Conroe, Texas.
