Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist Doug Marlette will lecture and give a slide presentation on the art of religious satire at 4 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 18 in Whitley Auditorium, located on the Elon University campus.
Marlette, a novelist and editorial cartoonist, draws the syndicated comic strip “Kudzu.” The North Carolina native has won every major award for editorial cartooning, including the 1988 Pulitzer Prize. His work has appeared in Time, Newsweek, The New York Times and The Washington Post, along with various other newspapers around the country.
Marlette’s appearance is sponsored by the School of Communications and Project Pericles. The event is free and open to the public.
