Koresh Dance Company at Elon, February 27

The Koresh Dance Company, a Philadelphia group hailed as an extraordinary newcomer to the national stage, will perform at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 27 in McCrary Theatre, located in the Faith Rockefeller Model Center for the Arts on the Elon University campus.

Founded in 1991 by choreographer and artistic director Ronen Koresh, the company is recognized for its exciting performances and original dance style. Koresh presents a blend of ballet, modern and jazz molded into a style of choreography that is complex and powerful.

The performance is part of the Lyceum series, which brings outstanding performing artists to campus each year. It is also supported in part by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, a state agency funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.

Tickets for the performance are $15, or free for those with valid Elon identification. Tickets may be purchased by calling the McCrary Theatre box office at (336) 278-5610. The box office is open from 12:30 p.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday.
