Webb takes students behind the scenes at Cirque du Soleil

Bill Webb, technical director for the Center for the Arts, arranged an opportunity for eight design and production students, along with Dale Becherer, assistant professor of theatre, to attend a dress rehearsal of Cirque du Soleil in Raleigh. The group had a behind-the-scenes look at the production of “Dralion,” which was staged at the Triangle Town Center. After the March 13 rehearsal, the group was given a tour and lecture on the program.

“It was an amazing evening,” Webb said. “The performance was great, but even better was the tour and discussion. The Cirque crew was great and our students were inspired.”
