As you leave the campus for the spring break, please let your room/apartment mates know where you will be and when you will be returning to campus. If you will not be returning when planned, let them know. Please be careful and aware of your surroundings while you travel. The country is on high alert. Be prepared for delays in airports due to the heightened security situation. While away from campus, check E-net for current news and information.
For student groups that are traveling over the break, we ask that you submit a roster of those on your trip, along with emergency names and telephone numbers, to the Leadership and Organization Development Office, and/or dean’s offices. While traveling as a group, you will want to always let others know where and with whom you are, establish a buddy system, and have pre-identified rendezvous points (such as your hotel) should there be a problem.
There is a large screen television in The Zone which is a good place to gather should the war start before students depart the campus for spring break.
If you know of anyone who needs assistance, please refer them to Smith Jackson, vice president for student life, in Alamance 109 or to the Student Life Office in the Moseley Center 209. The campus will be closed on Monday, March 24; Campus Safety and Police is open at all times, however, and Student Life staff are on call as well.
