Elon will host the monthly meeting of delegates to the NC Student Legislature March 21-23. More than 100 students from eight campuses across the state will gather to express their concerns about issues important to North Carolina.
The legislature simulates the NC General Assembly and debates resolutions presented by members. Some of the topics scheduled for debate include affirmative action, session limits for the General Assembly, caps on medicaid payouts and the prohibition of junk food in elementary school vending machines and lunches.
In association with the meeting, the NC Political Science Association will be holding its annual state conference on campus at the same time.
