The Elon Percussion Ensemble will hold its spring concert at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 15 in Yeager Recital Hall. The concert, which is free and open to the public, will feature student compositions and arrangements for percussion.
The concert will feature several numbers arranged by students, including “The Sicilian Clan,” arranged by Josh Kagel, and “Black Satin,” arranged by Louis Poole. The show will also include “Zoroastrian Thunder,” a new three-movement suite for jazz quintet and percussion ensemble by Jon Metzger, assistant professor of music.
Two student solos will also be featured, including “Three Designs for Three Timpani,” performed by Louis Poole, and Jon Rahilly’s performance of “Rhythm Song” on marimba.
