Bill Burpitt, associate professor of business administration, had two articles selected for inclusion in professional journals and a third article accepted at a conference.
“Organizational Learning and Knowledge Based Resources: Antecedents to New Entry,” is forthcoming in the Journal of Business and Management.
His second article, titled “Foreign-owned companies’ entry and location strategies in a U. S. market: A study of manufacturing firms in North Carolina,” was written with co-author Dennis Rondinelli, Glaxo Distinguished International Professor in the Kenan Flagler School of Business at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The article appeared in the Winter edition of the Journal of World Business.
A paper authored by Burpitt, “Knowledge Creation and New Entry,” was accepted for the Academy of Management Meetings in Seattle.
Most of Burpitt’s research focuses on entrepreneurship with an additional stream in international business, particularly entry strategy.
