The Philosophy Department Emersonian Society, together with the Elon University Center for Reclaiming the Future, will host “Restorative Justice: When Punishment is not Tough Enough to Deal With Violence,” at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, April 17 in McMichael 115. the presentation will feature Martin Fowler, adjunct assistant professor of philosophy.
This program will introduce an entirely new, community-based response to the problems of crime and violence, an approach that is emerging both locally and internationally.
