Greensboro Symphony Orchestra in concert May 11

The Greensboro Symphony Orchestra returns to Elon as part of its Burlington series with a concert at 3 p.m., Sunday, May 11 in McCrary Theatre, located in the Center for Fine Arts on campus.

Conductor Stuart Malina will lead the concert in his final conducting appearance with the orchestra. The program will include Bernstein’s “Symphonic Dances from West Side Story” and Tchaikovsky’s “Symphony No. 4.”

The Greensboro Symphony Orchestra is in its 44th season, and its second at Elon as part of the Burlington Series, which played to sold-out houses in McCrary Theatre in 2001-02.

Tickets for the concert are priced at $15 for balcony seats, $18 for orchestra seats, $5 for student seats, or free with valid Elon identification. Tickets may be purchased by calling the McCrary Theatre box office at (336) 278-5610. The box office is open from 12:30 p.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday.
