MBA student team takes second place in competition

The MBA student team of David Runions, David Jones, and Tom White earned second place in the 2003 SBTDC MBA competition.  The announcement was made during a luncheon today in Research Triangle Park.

The students worked with their client, Carolina Waterscapes, over the past semester as part of their MBA 555 course.  Carolina Waterscapes is a full-service gardening center in Chapel Hill and has already implemented many of the suggestions made by the Elon MBA team.

Their achievement marks the fifth consecutive year that an Elon MBA team has placed among the winners in the statewide competition.

David Noer, Frank S. Holt, Jr. Professor of Business Leadership, teaches the MBA 555 course. Betsy Stevens, associate professor of business administration, offered helpful comments after viewing the team’s practice session.
