Effective Working Relationships
Nona Saling
Course ID# 7477
We all work with a large variety of different people at home, work, school and in community organizations. While the differences between people adds richness to life, it can also lead to some frustrating conflicts, misunderstandings and tensions. In this workshop, you will use the world-renowned Myers-Briggs Type Instrument (MBTI) to determine which of 16 different types you are. You will learn your strengths and areas where you can improve and benefit by working with others. You will learn the strengths and potential development areas of the other types, and develop strategies to work more effectively with all 16 types, including: communicating ideas, setting goals, making decisions and influencing others. Bring a real-life situation to the workshop and you will have the opportunity to plan and practice a strategy you can implement when you get back to work. Nona Saling has over 25 years experience in Human Resources and is a doctoral candidate in Training & Development at North Carolina State University. nsaling@mindspring.com
