Bob Anderson, associate professor of political science, will deliver the Commencement address to the 2003 graduating class at Greensboro Middle College on Friday, May 30.
Greensboro Middle College, a high school on the campus of Greensboro College, is designed to challenge and develop students with significant intellectual ability but who were potential high school drop outs.
Students take college courses and high school classes and simultaneously earn credits toward a diploma while building a college transcript.
The school enrolls 104 students with 48 members in the Class of 2003. The student body is extremely diverse and has been the subject of several News & Record articles and a recent story on NPR’s Morning Edition, which profiled the second-chance teaching strategies employed by the school.
