Originally from South Korea, the Julliard trained piano trio features twins, pianist Lucia and cellist Maria, and their sister Angella who plays the violin. Their recording of Dvorak, Suk and Shostakovich trios won Germany’s prestigious ECHO Award and another CD “Ahn-Plugged” offers a more spontaneous and eclectic program. The Ahm Trio breathes new life into piano trio literature and gives thrilling performances of works by contemporary composers including Schoenfield, Ewazen, Bunch, Musto and Nyman.
