Elon seniors Leila Saliba and Victoria Smith and professors Thomas Tiemann and Steve DeLoach will have their paper, “Developing a Global Mindset Through Short-term Study Abroad,” published in the Journal of Teaching in International Business, Volume 15:1. Their research involved students enrolled in the Café Europa winter-term study abroad courses during January 2001-02.
The paper explains how the team used video-taped discussion sessions throughout the courses in an effort to have students think more deeply about their travel experiences. Funding for this research was provided by an Elon University Carnegie grant. Additional support came from the Isabella Cannon Centre for International Studies and the Love School of Business.
