Teaching fellows from 14 colleges and universities across the state will gather at Elon for the annual Junior Teaching Fellows conference. The conference is designed for rising juniors who are enrolled in the teaching fellows program.
Through seminars, speakers and workshops, students spend the weekend learning about time management, strategies for effective classroom management and interaction with their local communities.
The workshop will feature Deollo Johnson of Durham, N.C., a member of the National Coalition Building Institute, who will work with participants on a diversity training model to explore and identify groups, increase individual responsibility and enhance cooperation among groups.
