The railroad crossing at Antioch Avenue and East Lebanon/Trollinger streets was permanently closed Monday, Aug. 18. This is the second crossing closed by the railroad in the Town of Elon for safety reasons. The crossing at Williamson Avenue will remain open and the Oak Avenue crossing has been improved with wider lanes to accommodate increased traffic.
