Elon 601: Mentoring Your Child in the First Year and Beyond
Elon 601: Mentoring Your Child in the First Year and Beyond is an on line non-credit bearing course designed to assist parents of first year Elon students as they transition into the university environment. Faculty will include members of the Elon University staff with extensive experience in student learning, development and administration.
Weekly course modules will integrate a reading from the text, auxiliary text, and web-based interaction with course participants and faculty. Course faculty will also be available for a “live chat” each week to discuss program components and curriculum topics.
The course will be limited to 50 participants. Parents interested in registering for the course should contact Jana Lynn Patterson, Associate Dean of Students at patters@elon.edu before September 1, 2003.
