WSOE 89.3FM “The ONLY Alternative” is looking for new DJ’s, producers, staff members, and morning show talent. If you are interested in participating in one of Elon’s premier campus medias, here’s what to do…
Attend the following events:
-The Media Interest Meeting. Thursday 28 at 5:30PM in McKinnon Hall. There, all of the campus medias will give a brief presentation about their organization. You will hear about the opportunities that WSOE has to offer you. We will also tell you the next steps to get involved. Plus, we will be available after the presentation to answer questions at our information table. We will also have WSOE prizes and more.
-The Elon Organization Fair. Friday Aug. 29 from 4-6 p.m. outside Moseley (rain location Koury Center). There, all of Elon’s student organizations will have informational booths set up. Stop by WSOE’s booth to chat with us and pick up some more cool prizes. We’re easy to find….just follow the music!
-The WSOE interest meeting. Sunday Aug. 31 at 8:00 p.m. in Moseley room 215. THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT MEETING FOR NEW STAFF MEMBERS. This meeting will be the first official opportunity to become a WSOE staff member. There, each WSOE executive will discuss what their department does to keep the station running. We will also assign show times and training times. This meeting is critical for new staffers. All aspects of WSOE will be discussed. From their, all interested persons will officially become WSOE staff members.

WSOE-FM 89.3 “The Only Alternative” is looking for people who are interested in hosting a morning radio show. The show airs live Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 7 a.m.-10 a.m.
WSOE is also looking for morning show producers.
Anyone (with or without radio experience) who is interested in joining WSOE for its popular morning show should email J. Travis Lusk, program director & morning show director at jlusk@elon.edu. We are looking for fun, energetic, and motivated people who would like to gain valuable radio and broadcasting experience. WSOE trains its staff for broadcast operations.
WSOE is also looking for reporters to join the first ever National College Radio Network. WSOE is one of the founding stations of “The Outside Radio Network” featuring news that interests college students.
Are you tired of the same old dry news? Then “The Outside World Radio Network” is just the thing for you. Our reporters cover entertainment news, celebrity news, sports, and other “off-beat” topics. WSOE’s program segment is then sent digitally to the program central office. It is incorporated into the 1/2-hour program and then released to the participating radio stations up and down the East coast. Your stories will air all over the country!
